Up Date on Family Room

My family room has had a few changes added to it. For one thing I found a great rug!
I had been looking for quite sometime I had just about given up. No need in telling you the cost of area rugs are out the roof! So I had settled on my towel size rug, when I found this one and when told the price I almost ran out the door with it thinking they would be running after me saying wait,wait that was a mistake!!
As you can see it is perfect in here. I love it! Now I also got some match stick blinds
for the windows and it feels oh so cozy. In the kitchen I found some Roman shades, they were not so hard to put up much easier than wood blinds. I am still not convinced yet if they are going to stay. I do like they but they are definitely beautiful.

Holy Cow Bat Man "Bees" are Every Where!

Boy howdy, the bees were here big time! I thought they were quietly going under the fence and out the hole but holy moly they were multiplying in the tree! I never saw it either. I thought something was happening last week when I was reading the morning paper (yes I am one of the early risers that do that). I opened the patio door and soon there were at least 50 or 60 having a party on the ceiling. They dive bombed the lamp so I turned off mine and turned on another one and soon they all committed suicide. Then that night Mister called me out at dusk and pointed up to the tree, at first I thought it was just a swarm like in the spring but next morn they didn't go away then when I looked well let me say I could see the honey comb!

So I called the "bee man" He saved as many as he could and had to exterminate the rest. My bunch is just the off shoot of the main nest on the property behind me but it doesn't belong to me.
I thought you might like to see some pictures of the bees and why they were so hard to see, where you see the orange is the bucket where the bee man is getting the queen and the hive. Then you see the bee man (hero) At least at this house!

IT WAS WORTH THE HUNT!!

It was so worth the long times spent hunting for the right couch! All of the time and effort but what surprised me the most was when I came in the house after it was delivered and said that the "wrong one"! My husband said no its not! I kept saying its darker he said that because there was so much light in the warehouse,don't get me wrong I am so excited that it is I was just shocked! The chair I adore! It reclines and that is all that matters to Mister!! Its all about comfort around here!

THE DREADED COUCH SHOPPING!!

Yes, Its that time! I have put it off and I mean put it off. Made all the excuses that one can make. I sounded like a guy! Not really, I wanted a new one,needed a new one, but it wasn't the time. I love my leather love seat. Pop up the footrest relax, nothing like it. Gosh darn, How come they don't last forever? To tell you the truth I was getting tired of it but don't tell anyone else that its out secret ok? So for the last months and months I have watch ads and tv search the internet done the stores (do you need help maam? no I'm just looking) So today, Mister and I went to one of the places we go for auctions where they don't do auctions any more and there it was!! It said " hello Bobbie I have been waiting for you, but take your time and look around I'm not going any where today I'll wait on you". And you know what? It did, darn thing waited right there didn't move! Called me over to it again and said sit down and see how I feel,feel the leather, see how you can curl you legs up under and have plenty of room and mister could take a nap if he finds you out of the room. But your not a recliner I said, I know but look over there, there is one and it goes really good with me and he really likes it. I didn't come in here to get a recliner, but he does like it and I really like you and and and.

So now next week I am getting the couch and the recliner. Retiring the love seat, and moving the other leather love seat to Mister's office. So now I have to concentrate on the new washer and dryer. That will not be like the drama (or I hope) the couch has been I know what I want. But finding the best price for I am forever looking for that!

He's Back!!

This morning after Mister fed the birds. You know how he adores them!! Suddenly all is quiet on the home front. Only the humming birds are flitting around. They seem to be up in the tree buzzing around the midway we keep looking and suddenly , there he is!! He's back! The " chicken hawk". I have been looking for that boy for a long time and he has been avoiding me like the plague.

In the second photo he moved to the outer branch about 30 seconds after the first photo and after I took this shot, "BAM" he got himself a finch for breakfast and flew away! Yes sireee he was hunting for breakfast he was a hungry boy this morning and our house was the drive (fly) in restaurant today!

WOW I WON!!

Yep thats right! I won over on Sweet Pea's blog. She has her 100 th blog and in hornor of that she had a give away and wouldn't you know lil ole me won! Bless her heart she picked me!

Now I will be waiting on that Mail Man (oops person) like the cat waits on one of the birds to fly to low out of the tree. I'll have the girls keep guard by the gate to alarm me when the jeep comes up the road ( you know its hot and they will be in the house sleeping under the fan caring less about my package). So I will wait all by myself looking out the upstairs window when I think the time is right and you know I will miss him and then he will ring the door bell when I least expect it. I will probably be gone, but I am looking foward to it like a little kid, Thanks for making me feel like that again!

Big Bear Lake

This is Big Bear Lake, Ca . We were there on the 4 th of July. Yes, I know that I am late with this post, but I had to show how beautiful the lake is. This is my sister's pontoon boat they are all going out on it for a ride , well not us, we had to much to do. I didn't have to say that did I?

The water was so blue every one had such a good time . We brought enough food. That is always one worry I think ever one always has.

Now this is the view from the patio across the lake the water is cold!!
