Unexpected Guest

Expecting sun today we had decided to give part of the backyard a spring cleaning. Well,no sun cloudy and cool but the yard was still there it didn't care what we planned on. My retaining wall had about 3 inches of dead gunk on it and up the hill. I only went as far as I could reach with the rake. Of course 2 different sizes that's the only way, having 3 dogs up your butt every step you take can be a little crowded. One on the hill one beside me and one behind me. Hey its not only me they are keeping an eye on, there is critters in there! I have some lizards that I call "gators" I have seen some lizard that get fat but boy howdy these are bigens ! So its up and down for one, sneezing cause she has dirt up her nose, crouch down creeping up and then there it is a final pounce! Oh, no,
it got away. Poor Phoebe she will have to start the search all over again.
After several hours, sweeping, raking, and the hunting of "gators" it seems as if the work is done, well it is anyway that is what we had decided to do DH said if I wanted to do more I had all week to do it, Thanks.

Soon afterword DH was standing at the kitchen window and said "come here quick and see this bird" boy when I got there it was a "HAWK" imagine that landing on the bird feeder! Needless to say there were no birds in sight, they know when there is danger! I don't know how he (she) managed to stay on the darn thing its slippery but it was so gracefully staying on it. I said grab my camera and he didn't know where it was so I had to go. When I got back he jumped on the wine keg below the feeders then back to the top. I am trying not to be seed it was about 8 feet out the window,as I started to snap the photo poof it flew away on the to the fence next door so I sneak out the patio door walk stealth like (or so I thought) and poof its gone again. So now I can't post any photos, dang it. But it was like a gift today I think that was awful brave for a hawk to do that, It wasn't a large one that would have never fit on the feeder I have not seen one like this before. I know that it had better things to do than sit for my picture.
